Finding an Area of Interest

There are two primary ways to identify an area of interest. You can interact directly with the map and click on tax parcels. You can also search for tax parcels by address or by parcel ID.

Map Based Navigation

There are several ways to interact with the map:

1. Hold down the shift key and drag a box on the map to zoom in
2. Hold Down Ctrl+Shift to zoom out
3. Roll your mouse roller to zoom in/out
4. Drag the zoom slider to zoom in/out
5. Click on a property (tax parcel) to see the 2030 Future Development Plan Character Area, the 2025 Future Land Use Class, and the current zoning designation.


The search box at the top can be used to find a property (tax parcel) by address or parcel identification number. You can enter a partial address or parcel ID and then identify the correct value in the search results on the left-hand window. Click on one of the results to automatically zoom into the selected property in the map and view information in the pop-up box.

Switching Between Maps

You can choose between three maps to view and switch between them at any time:

1. The 2030 Future Development Plan Map
2. The 2025 Future Land Use Plan Map
3. The Zoning Map.

Use the buttons at the upper right of the map window to switch between the maps. View the map legend for the maps by selecting Map Legend at the bottom of the left-hand window.

Switching Between Base Maps

The base map shows reference features such as streets and buildings to help you navigate around the map. There are two base maps to choose between: the street map and the aerial imagery map. Use the base map icon at the top right to switch between base maps.
